AFK Journey Warsong Festival: How Players Could Win a PS5 and In-Game Rewards

AFK Journey's Warsong Festival invite-a-friend promo stacked Diamonds, Invite Letters, Gold, and a PS5 draw for recruiting new players.

AFK Journey has had its fair share of login events, but the Warsong Festival promo that ran from May 10 to May 21, 2024, was one of the splashier ones. Players could stack Diamonds, Invite Letters, Gold, and even a shot at a PlayStation 5 just by hopping onto the event page and dragging a few friends into the game. Physical prizes were scheduled to ship before September 30, 2024, so the whole thing was designed to move fast. As of 2026, this one is a throwback, but the reward structure is still a solid template for invite-a-friend promos.

🎮 How the Event Worked

To light up the four heroes, players had to complete four tasks. The first two were pretty painless, but the last two required some real recruiting.

  • First hero: Log in to the Warsong Festival event page to light it up and receive 150 Diamonds.

  • Second hero: Share the invitation link on social media to light it up and receive another 150 Diamonds.

  • Third hero: Light it up and earn a drawing attempt when one player downloads the game and creates a character using the shared link.

  • Fourth hero: Light it up and earn another drawing attempt when a second player downloads the game and creates a character with that same link.

Let’s be real: the guaranteed 300 Diamonds from the first two tasks were basically free. The real grind was convincing two fresh players to download and create characters through the link. For solo-minded players, that was the wall.

📬 Claiming Prizes

For in-game rewards, players simply tapped the Claim button and the items were sent via Mail to the linked character. Physical prizes were a bit more involved. Winners had to follow the instructions on the page and send the required information to the email address provided. Player Support would respond within 10 business days after the event ended to verify details. By participating, players acknowledged that their information could be shared with third-party vendors for prize delivery purposes.

🎁 Prize Pool and Odds

The prize pool mixed a few dream rewards with a lot of small but useful consolation prizes.

Prize Tier Reward Probability
Special Reward 1 PlayStation 5 5 total available
S-Level Prize 1 Epic Invite Letter 0.1%
A-Level Prize 2 Invite Letters 0.4%
B-Level Prize 300 Diamonds 4.3%
B-Level Prize 1 Invite Letter 4.3%
C-Level Prize 50 Diamonds 45.45%
C-Level Prize 3,000 Gold 45.45%

The two C-level prizes covered a combined 90.9 percent of the pool, so most participants walked away with something. The high-tier stuff was rare, but that did not stop players from hoping for a lucky PS5 pull.

📋 Fine Print Worth Knowing

  • Players had to contact Player Support by May 21 and provide necessary shipping details for physical prizes. Missing the deadline or submitting incomplete information could mean no shipment, and no reshipment would be arranged.

  • If the PS5 could not be shipped to a winner’s region or local stock was insufficient, the prize would be exchanged for a $500 Amazon eGift Card sent to the email address provided in the information collection form.

  • Players could view received prizes in the Prize Log at the top of the event page.

  • Special Reward winners were randomly chosen from participants. If someone won the Special Reward, they would not receive any items from the regular prize pool for that drawing.

For a free event, the Warsong Festival was honestly pretty slick. The early Diamonds were a no-brainer, the drawing attempts were a nice bonus for social players, and the PS5 giveaway gave the whole thing some extra spark. If AFK Journey runs a similar invite event in the future, the playbook will likely look a lot like this.
